In this episode, Chelsea and Dana kick it off with Ms. Penny Cost the first Drag Queen in the world to become a Certified Candidate for Ordination within the United Methodist Church.
Though she was born and raised in a small town of Illinois, Ms. Penny was catapulted into International Spotlight due to the power and celebration of her carnivalesque ministry to and alongside LGBTQIA+ Individuals.
In this conversation, Ms. Penny Cost shares her transformational story, where she wrestles with institutionalized Christianity, yet despite these struggles, finds that the sacred and divine beauty of God was worth pursuing. As she discovers this for herself, she creates space for others to have intentional and authentic conversations around queerness and spirituality.
