This week’s song is about finding hope and strength in the times of wilderness. As we are in the Lenten season, we are in a constant state of selflessness and wandering and we are even confronting death and the limited time we have on this earth. But those things don’t exactly have to equal a feeling of dread or hopelessness. I remember growing up thinking that this time of year was almost a self lashing or self loathing season, and as I have gotten older, I have been starting to look for the joy and the hope in these times of wandering and exile. I hope you are encouraged by this song and I hope you are able to sing and use it as a prayer for yourself.
