In this Holy Week episode, Rev. Chelsea and Dana talk about Farewell Discourse or the last instructions that Jesus leaves his disciples before he is killed. This last sermon includes the promise of the Holy Spirit, the difficulties they will encounter because of following Jesus, the necessity of staying connected to God, and the always popular, yet difficult love one another.
It also includes this sometimes confusing line “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
This conversation really dives into what that verse means. Is believing in Jesus the only way to heaven? Spoiler alert…NO!
