Colby Martin- The Shift

This week Rev. Chelsea and Dana sit down with Colby Martin.  We first met author and pastor Colby through his book Unclobber: Rethinking our Misuse of the Bible on Homosexuality.

In this episode Colby shares his story and talks about his shift from conservative Christianity to progressive, affirming Christianity.  You can also read about his journey in his 2nd book titled The Shift: Surviving and Thriving after Moving from Conservative to Progressive Christianity.

For anyone, queer or straight, who are in a conservative Christian environment and find themselves struggling, wrestling or questioning, why LGBTQIA+ individuals cannot be incorporated in the full body of the church, and this means leadership roles and marriage rites, this is the episode for you to listen too.  Our queer brother and sisters are beloved children of God wholly and exactly as they are and must be incorporated in the full body of the Christ’s church.
